My Favorite Townsville Baddie: Ima Goodlady LOL

I’ve always been a huge Power Puff Girls fan. I remember when I was in middle school, I had a whole sketchbook dedicated to the PPG and even created my own based off of me and my friends. The obsession was so real and known, that I had classmates asking me to make PPG versions of them as well. Honestly, I probably should have charged those kids, now that I think about it LOL

[I actually still have that sketch book too. If it wasn’t such a hassle, I’d try to find it under my bed, but you’ll just have to take my word for it!]

But anyway, I feel like PPG is one of those cartoons that definitely transcends time and generations. Tons of people, young and old, remember it fondly and still continue to pay tribute to it! Like meee! :D

I’ve done some PPG fanart on and off throughout the years, but 2021-2022 was really when I popped off with it. I had a really good time drawing my renditions of some of Townsville’s favorite baddies:

I had so much fun with these and they were received so well, that I even had the idea of making a comic for it. So, yeah, I’m a little bit of a shipper and I loved Professor/Sedusa.

Powerpuff Girls “Mommy Fearest”

Originally airing November 18th, 1998, Mommy Fearest was basically about the Professor meeting this mysterious woman at the grocery store and with an assist from the girls, makes a date with her and immediately falls in love. To the point, where he…literally moves this woman into his house the same night LOL. She ends up acting super suspicious the entire time, being really nice and charming to the professor and cruel to the girls. She would do things like ground them and basically banned them from saving Townsville. Of course, they end up discovering that she was actually one of their many archnemisis, Sedusa. And in typical PPG fashion, they beat the living daylights out of her and then sent her to jail, while Professor ends up simping for the next woman he sees (some neighbor that ends up baking him a pie lmao).

It’s a fun episode and I loved Sedusa as Ima Goodlady. So I thought it would be really fun to do a comic about the date and what could have led to her living with them. Or even playing with the possibility that Sedusa actually likes the professor.

I did this page around…2022 and basically dropped the project immediately after that LOL, but I want to revive it this year, so I plan on finishing it! I’ve been working on some new pages and I’m currently on page three, so I’ll be updating you all on the journey!

And now, onto some cozy things…so last time I talked about my lego bontanical collection and I ended up finishing the dandelions! At this rate, I’m really going to need another vase…or just more shelves. I have way too many of these things.

Also, what shows has everyone been watching? I recently finished a really heartwarming show on Netflix called After School Doctor.

Close enough, welcome back House MD LOL, but no, seriously. I was so upset when this show ended and the fact that it was so short. Honestly, I’m not much of a crier, but this show had my chest TIGHT for every, single episode. It had me checking my calendar like, “Is this hormones?”, but no, it’s just Makino-Sensei having a heart of gold under his stoic exterior and genuinely caring about the wellbeing of these children. If you have Netflix and have about 40mins to spare, you should check it out!
